I guess that's kind of my point. Miami had the hardest piece, Cleveland has the hardest piece, OKC had them as well. But they completely botched the "easy" part of building a team, and that is surrounding your stars with complementary pieces.

LeBron signed with both those teams in free agency. There's not a comparison to be had there. OKC did as good a job as a small market team can of building through the draft and untimely injuries probably cost them from at least getting back to the finals.

A lockout was going to occur regardless. Baseball is the only sport that avoids it because quite frankly, they have the best deal, and the owners are seemingly okay with it.

Although they fucked over a lot of mid-level guys with the QO system, that is probably going to have to be hammered out next time.

We're going to to get some new salary cap rules

Scalabrine is thinking there may be a super max. One player per team can get a super max which is like 40mil or whatever.
But only one

So if you have a kd and russell. Or a kyrie and Lebron they're gonna be on separate teams cause they cant both be maxed

And if they both take less, then your supporting cast becomes less

He was on nba xm radio. And idk if he has a source but he seems to think something along these lines will happen

And said kd is the straw that broke the camel's back. Obviously every owner is upset

Why would the union agree to a "super-max"? That only positively effects a handful of players who will get more. Everyone else will be taking a pay cut to fit under a salary cap with these new 40 million dollar players.

And the only reason Durant was able to go to the Warriors was because of the exploding cap. It was a fluke thing more than anything.

Its not necessarily 40mil

He saying guys can't get their true value. Instead of fixed maxes, hes saying let the big guys get their true market value

Something along these lines will be discussed

We're getting changes

I definitely agree that doing away with the max salary is a good solution, but again, that punishes everyone else in the league, so I think they would have a hard time convincing the players to agree to that.

I kind of like the idea of getting rid of the max contract.

An argument can be made that the salary cap in general is hurting the parity of the league. The way the cap is set up now, it's incredibly difficult to form a great team, so when those rare great teams form (Cavs/Warriors), they literally just run through everyone.

The caption didn't show up. But the stipulation was if he missed 3 shots in a row, the entire camp would get free Jordan's.

Welp, add Draymond Green to the ever growing list of NBA players whose dicks I have seen.
