He beat the 73 win team with the unanimous mvp, that's worth like 10 rings alone.

I don't know or really care. He won Cleveland a title, he'll go into the Hall as a Cav, we good.

I feel you, we just talking tho. In my opinion its quite unrealistic for him to surpass him, especially with the way warriors built their team and how good theyll be for the next 5 years atleast

I'd say an argument can probably be made if he wins one more title and a couple more MVPs. I think it's obviously unrealistic to expect him to get to 6 titles at this point, but I don't see how that can be held against him given that MJ never faced a team with as much talent as the Warriors. Unless he breaks down, he's gonna become the NBA's all time leading scorer before he retires, and he'll very likely finish top 5 in assists.

No one who watched MJ in his prime would ever admit to someone being better though, even if they were. People are too nostalgic.

And it would be difficult to take me seriously if I made the argument that LeBron is better, considering I didn't watch MJ in his prime, didn't live through the experience.

Sad that you dont put into consideration the teams MJ had to get thru back in one of strongest eras and the teams he had to beat in the finals. MJs playoff stats are also ridiculous. Not to mention he never had a meltdown the way lebron did in 2011 in the finals. If he beats this years warriors, hes top 3, but the greatest ever? Thats tough

I don't think he'll ever be considered better than MJ, I certainly don't think it is impossible for it to happen though.

If he stays healthy enough to compete at a high level I think top 3 is a given, even if he never wins another title.

i hate the title argument. if lebron ends as the #1 scorer, top 5 in assists(or around that), and adds another title and possibly another mvp, thats pretty damn great. and hes likely the best all around player of all time. why not consider that the best player of all time? just because one has more titles?

Its certainly not just titles man. Mjs stats are thru the roof tho. The only advantage lebron really has is passing, bc hes a willing passer. MJ had it all tho. Its hard to top him tbh. He had the 'it' factor. Was extremely clutch, defense was extremely lock down

I certainly dont know if lebron would have made 6 finals in a row back in 1990s tho. MJ in this era tho, with all the spacing and touch fouls. Man oh man dude would average close to 40
