It didn't "get him suspended". It got him a Flagrant 1, which in conjunction with all the other crap he's done this post-season, triggered an automatic suspension.

nba wants ratings, and game 5 with dray @oracle is probably a win for the warriors. suspending dray probably extends the series another game.
 
Game 5 is Monday. Game 6 is Thursday, Game 7 is Sunday. If they can extend the series an entire week by suspending draymond... it'd be huge for the viewship rating

They don't need Draymond to beat the Cavs

A significant part of the reason the Warriors offense works so well is Draymond stretching the court and forcing T.Thompson to either leave him alone for 3pt attempts, or to not protect the rim. The Cavs don't have the personnel to guard the Death Lineup.
 
 
Unless the Warriors unleash a new Death Lineup tonight with Livvy instead of Dray, I expect a ton more standard looks (Ezeli and Bogut with Barnes/Iggy at the 4) from GS, which Cleveland can combat
