During the regular season, Love gave up 90.3 points per 100 chances as a pick-and-roll defender, which isnt good; in the playoffs, hes given up 102.9, which is a calamity. On Thursday night, his screen-and-roll defense came out to 94.1 points per 100 chances, and thats in the context of Curry and Thompson playing awfully its a bad sign of things to come. The Cavs plan for Love defending the pick-and-roll a big concern before the series seemed to be having him double-team the ballhandler. But traps only work if you can actually trap the player.

Kevin Love is not an elite player. He was overrated in Minnesota because the T-Wolves were so awful for so long. No matter how many times some of you tell me otherwise I will still think the Wiggins- Love trade will go down in history as one of the worst trades of this era

In the long run maybe, but the Cavs, with Lebron on a 1+1 year deal, had to make the most of their title window

He would be an elite player if allowed to maximize his talents, but now that he's lost so much weight, he can't rebound like he used to because he gets pushed around. He's pretty much relegated to being a 3 point shooter at his current weight. The Cavs are giving him the best chance to win a title of his realistic landing spots but he's not the best Kevin Love that he can be.

I'm sure he would be ecstatic to re-join 34 year old Wade, and a guy who can't even play.
