State of the angels is weird

They have a few intriguing guys
Yunel escobar, andrelton when healthy, calhoun, and like 2 starters

They could go full tank and move some of those guys
Maybe even trout

But they wont. And idk how theyre gonna get better. Especially with a really weak free agent class

You bring up an excellent point.

You now see teams tank more frequently and to a greater extent because free agency is not what it used to be. So now the only real method to build a contender is through the draft with a few players from the free agent market.

I remember back in the early 2000s when we had some big free agents with teams like the Yankees, Red Sox, Dodgers, and Angels going into bidding wars. Not anymore.
