Had to give Pedroia the day off, which I agree with. However, Holt should have played second and Young in left (although McHugh was on the mound and Young doesn't hit righties well).

Papa's (and Pedroia) gotta sit once in awhile. Probably not great to sit him when O'Sullivan is on the mound though. Need all the offence we can get.

Probably. He's had achilles problems before and with this season looking good, not minding the day off too much.
 
I think it's most important to get Pedroia days off.

Ortiz is a DH.  There is no way you sit a guy who only hits every day.  Stupid move.  If you do sit him, it's once every fifty games or so, not three times in 45 games (or whatever it is we have played).
