Although I guess in terms of individuals, Lerner is on top.

My point was more that it doesn't really matter who has more money, what matters is if that market can sustain the high payroll. So I'd say right now it's an even playing field between LA, NYY and WAS.

Plus there's no guarantee Lerner will even be alive by then.

Yasmani Grandal is going to get tests on his forearm. Dave Roberts said his continued discomfort is "disconcerting."

Yeah, but you're basing that off like 200+ plate appearances. Keep in mind this is a guy who had a piss poor 2013 and 2014, so his track record leaves a lot to be desired thus far. I'm not saying he doesn't have the upside, but let's not jump to conclusions that he'll all of a sudden transition into a star level outfielder.

Yes, but I'm not talking about at the plate. I'm saying if he even manages to hit .250 or be a replacement level hitter, he has the potential to approach Kiermaier's WAR because of his fielding. It's not like Kiermaier is an offensive force either. He had an average OPS and his wRC was below average. Both JBJ and Kiermaier are around replacement level at the plate (or slightly above. Neither standout as hitters nor is one that much better than the other. It's close to wash. JBJ has a better ISO, walks more, had higher wRC+ while KK strikes out a lot less and hits for a higher average).

JBJ is playing center this year (boosting his WAR for this position alone) and even if his bat can hit at least .240 to .250, he will stay in the lineup all year. This will likely translate into being worth at the least 4 wins because of his glove. JBJ is right up there with Pillar and Kiermaier in terms of fielding.

Puig just crushed a ball 400+ feet off the bottom of the wall in center, and then got thrown out at second.
