World series tickets are so expensive on stubhub right now. If I had loaded the pre sale quick enough, I would have considered re-selling them, cause this is absurd

Tomorrow is an auto loss with a lefty starting

So cubs are up 3-2 and get to celebrate at home

Pedro Baez gave up 11 homers in 74 innings
11 homers as a freaking reliever

No shocker to see rizzo go deep

Dodgers gonna be shutout two consecutive games this series as well lol

We'll see if it changes the game. It's creative, but it's also working because he's literally the best reliever ever.

And it's amplified because he can pitch in every game in the playoffs due to more days off between games.

And also, it's doubtful Francona would be doing this if he didn't have another dominant reliever who was already solidified as a "closer"

Im not so sure about that. Look at the nats. Drew storen was coasting as a closer, and they immediately brought in pap and gave him the 9th

Allen was the Indians' best reliever by far before Miller, and he only ever worked in the 9th. Nothing creative, except for one time he came in with the bases loaded in like the 5th inning.

Point remains though. It's a great strategy, one that I think is being used mainly because Miller has never been a "closer", so he didn't care about not pitching the 9th.

Francona has even talked about this. He said he is able to do this because Miller is okay with it and already makes a lot of money. Other guys wouldn't be, because saves still make money in free agency/arbitration

Indians-Cubs would be one of the best World Series of all-time from a story standpoint

Not as good as 2003 Sox-Cubs would have been before both had their hearts ripped out but pretty close.

Long way to go for the Cubs tho

You flip flop more than anyone I've ever seen haha. How can you say that about your team? Especially with 2 guys who pitched shutouts still to go
