Count me in as one of the people who doesn't give a shit that Ben Simmons quit on a shitty basketball program, because the NBA forced him to play for free for a year instead of being able to work for actual money.

I know I'm just repeating what I said around draft time, but while I think he's amazingly talented I just don't think he has that desire to be the best. I don't think he hates losing, and that's reflected in him choosing LSU.

I think it's completely plausible to choose a program where you already know someone over a better one if you don't really care what happens in that one year at college. Judging his desire to win or get better based on a college season is ridiculous.

Labeling people as losers with no desire at ages 19-20, as if they're finished products, because they passed on your favorite school or performed poorly for your favorite school is certainly interesting though.

I don't even have that high opinion on Ben Simmons' talent level, but I also haven't seen enough to give a valid opinion anyway so you can ignore my ramblings and nonsense. I don't think he's some LeBron level passer that Mexi claims he is, because that's unrealistic, and I have major problems with primary ball handlers that can't shoot, but that has nothing to do with his college choice and desire to be exploited by the NCAA
