Your argument was that he would never shoot 40% from three.

But yeah, he's shooting way too many. He's probably improved as a shooter since last year; if he was shooting the same volume of threes it might look a lot cleaner.

Like always, blame Thibodeau

Bucks controlled the whole game and then just choked at the end.

Pretty typical lately. I think that's 4-5 10+ pt lead they've blown in the 4th qtr this year, and a reason why their W/L should be a lot better.

Need Middleton back.

Mexi good W last night

With Russ on the floor in the first quarter, the lead was there, and a pretty nice out, you were def sweating there a bit.... until the second unit came in tho smh

Then Russ got mad and went into a idgaf mode and just started taking every shot. Usually doesnt play like this, actually gets teammates involved a ton, but they were all sleeping so he went berzerk.

I do gotta say the Rockets can really score from deep. Having Eric Gordon and Ryan Anderson play like theyre playing always helps, but considering the fact that the Thunder played like absolute shit and still made it a ball game should concern you, especially since the Rockets seemed like they played up to their standards

Also hope yall heard the Gary Payton TMT halftime talk, said exactly what ive been saying... "MVPs gotta be Russ , and Harden has more tools around him that helps him with these wins"

Anyway , its 2-1 rockets with one more to go in okc . Rockets can win em now in the rs , but those 3 pointers wont fall as sweet as they do now when it really matters and the hands are shaky. Cant wait

CC , i know u missed me

How the fuck did the Warriors lose this game?

They're playing the replay on ESPN right now, and the Dubs are up by 22 at the end of the 3rd.

Damn, they didn't hit their first FG in the 4th until the 3 minute mark.

The Warriors must like choking. Some people are into that.

i thought it was at least implied that sample size was involved

even marcus smart can shoot 40% from 3 over a short enough sample

in a season long sample Towns isn't hitting 40%. At all

Ever? I don't buy it. Like we talked about, fucking Luis Scola hit 40% from three last year. Guess we'll have to wait until he retires; more than anything I just thought it was an absurdly bold claim to act like a guy who's a really good shooter couldn't ever hit 40% from three.

40% is just such a hard number for a big man to get, unless he isn't meeting sample size (not applicable in this case). Kevin Love has done it once in his career and that was on a lowly 2.3 attempts per game (imo barely satisfying sample size). Dirk only did it 4 times in his 18 year career, of which one was with less than 2 attempts per game (low sample) and another was when he only started 47 games all year.

It's an extremely hard task to do, especially since Towns is much bigger than Dirk too. I wouldn't be surprised if he put up 36-37% seasons at his peak, but 40% just seems way too high

Towns isn't even at the 50% FG mark this year either

might miss out entirely on this 50/40/90 proclamation

Going to include this year, which obviously isn't finished:

Marc Gasol is shooting 40% this year
Thaddeus Young who has never been known as a shooter is now shooting 40% from three.
As we mentioned, Luis Scola did it last year after having hit 10 threes in his NBA career before.

Comparing him to Kevin Love, who for the past five years has shot 5+ threes per game (and doesn't have the touch Towns has) is useless. If KAT plays 12+ years in the NBA and doesn't have one season where he shoots 40% from three, I'll cut my dick off.

Zach Randolph hit a three against the Warriors. Everybody's getting triple doubles, everybody's shooting 3s.
