Rest? Wait, we out here talking about rest? Not the game, not the game that we all love, but were out here talking about rest?

Either Lebron will rest tonight after playing 1000 minutes yesterday, or he will dad dick the Heat and their playoff chances to death

So first Harden said playing 82 games should be considered for the mvp award .... sits out game

Then said mvp is about wins.... warriors are first in the league

Two criteria that he doesnt fill lmao clearly not mvp then Harden

Westbrook pushing the ball in transition is the key to their offense most of the time, so him getting rebounds obviously helps the team.

What doesn't help the team is when he's positioning himself for the board before the ball is even shot.

The thing you're missing about the rebounding stat there is that those numbers are pretty much Westbrook getting the rebound versus someone standing next to Westbrook getting the rebound.

I'd find it hard to imagine the Thunder are better off with Russ getting the board and going coast to coast rather than Adams getting the board and throwing the outlet to Westbrook. The latter is such a quicker and more effective method to scoring

Look at Cleveland with KLove and Kyrie/Lebron, Shits unstoppable on those long outlets, and while he's no KLove, Adams is definitely capable of doing it

Russ also throws about 5 outlet passes to sprinting oladipo adams or robertson down the court per game if not more

This way it gets those guys going by getting easy baskets. Russ can score when he wants, so adams outletting to him for easy buckets would be good yea, but the fastbreak or outlet passes to his teammates helps the overall confidence of other guys once they see the ball go thru the basket. He takes 24 shots a game as it is, doesnt need more easy points to get himself going, but it definetly helps his teammates when they get easy baskets. Then the intensity on defense also picks up. I mean it can be argued either way for sure, but with these kinda teammates around him, any way to get them going even a little bit, helps the team

I made a post months ago speculating that Westbrook staying back for rebounds likely hurts them in transition, but back then I believe it was Buzzy who told me they were like top 5 in transition points, so yea, it doesn't matter if he's staying back, cause it works. He's able to get a full head of steam and attack

Completely agree with this. I don't have a problem with teammates letting the rebound fall to him. They're just going to give it to him a second later anyways.

But the whole not contesting shots thing is a big problem. I'll be interested to see if he does it in the playoffs.

Golden State was a great team last year, but that didn't mean they didn't have to upgrade the team by getting KD to be even better

Sure they could be Top 5 in transition points right now. But i don't even think it's debatable that having Russ be the outlet rather than getting the board will bring better results. They could be #1 rather than just Top 5

There isn't a big on that roster that I trust to make those passes. They don't have a Kevin love.

Yeah Love is an outlier not the norm. A lot of bigs rebound the ball, stand on the spot and wait to hand it off to the PG or at the most throw a 10 foot outlet. I can see how RW rebounding in stride is a viable option.

The ball reaches the person that's looking to make a play earlier.

If Bulls win tonight and Heat lose, we are in

Wonder who Lebron would rather play in the first round
