How do the Rockets having a better supporting cast help Russ's MVP candidacy? It's not like they have the same amount of wins. The Rockets are 9 games ahead of the Thunder. An the supporting cast isn't loaded with multiple all stars to the point that you could say they're underperforming thus reducing Harden's candidacy for MVP. If anything they're outperforming expectations regardless of how the surrounding talent compares to OKC's
