On a different note, this is why I don't mind the Heat's winning streak, I mean how can you? The Sixers best two young players are injured and they are likely gonna be bad for at least another two years. All these other drafted superstars are still on bad teams. Timberwolves, Pelicans, Knicks. 
 
I'd rather show the league that you have a winning culture and a coach that can make things happen and sign established players, even if it means striking out on some big free agents here and there. 
 
You never know what you are drafting and at best these players still take a long ass time to actually play impactful basketball.

theyre gonna go back to being a B or C team for free agents though, and they'll need to overspend to get them. trust me, that sucks. its extremely frustrating as a fan. being a fringe playoff team blows. but the winning streak IS fun to watch and root for.

I know, being in the middle of the standings suck, but it sucks less than being at the bottom and staying at the bottom even if you draft well. Every year there are probably never gonna be more than 4 teams in the league actually contending, so you might as well have fun as a fan getting knocked out.
 
Riley's gotta have to prove that all these intangible advantages Miami brings is still worth something and sign someone relevant. We'll see.
