talent level is near the same, if not overall better in okc

It's really funny reading comments about the Okafor rumor.
Like Pelicans fans would be absolutely pissed if they gave up a lottery pick for him. Even if it was the 14th pick.
 
It's just so interesting how everybody values picks so much more than actual players. Yeah Okafor doesn't have amazing value right now, but he was the third pick himself, with somewhat decent hype around him. Right now the 14th pick is worth more than Okafor, as soon as that pick is turned into a very mediocre player - which at 14 is the most possible outcome - the value all of a sudden balances out.
 
It's funny how the sliver of a chance that your late lottery pick could turn out to be an all-star is like a 100 times more valueable than 75% of the players out there.
