and 47.5 ppg isn't good enough to win a single game.

That leaves free agency, or related forced trades, etc. They simply need a player to say, I want to be in New Orleans. The best way to make them say that is to do make Davis absolutely incandescent. Even at the expense of wins, this has to be the case. Forcing conversation about Davis needing help puts pressure on ownership in a way they cant really complain about, while the actual individual success attracts talent and fans. They have enough exportable assets to make room for a free agent should the time come. If it doesnt work, I dont see a way to keep Davis, but itll be a fun ride.
I still can't help but think what could have been had the "core" of Davis, Jrue, Gordon, Tyreke, and Anderson had worked. They were fantastic when they played together, but the problem came in when you consider they only played 15% of the possible games together and like 80 minutes per season.elcheato said:The Pelicans tried to short cut success, it failed, and now they have a whole lot of nothing around perhaps the best or 2nd best player in the league, talent wise.
barely lost and went 1-16 from 3 in the second halfPaulius3313 said:Rockets lose to the Lakers but they much better?
