Ainge isn't a great drafter, but he's pretty good at trading. Most of the league doesn't even trade at all.

#2 -- DRose to NYK
#1 -- Tobias Harris to DET
 
Those are the BIGGEST deals of the entire year across the entire NBA, dating back to Jan 1 2016. In fact, those are the three biggest trades in the league dating all the way up to February 19th, 2015 -- the 2014/15 NBA Trade Deadline, where Danny Ainge traded Marcus Thornton for Isaiah Thomas (and Dragic went to MIA and Knight went to PHX too).
