Chris Berman and Trent Dilfer on the call is basically capital punishment

Took a top 3 offense from last year almost 3 full quarters to score against us without our star DT, rookie CB and a starting safety.

i think your d is slightly overrated

You have a great front four. Hughes is a solid rusher and is BY FAR the worst one on that line

Your linebacking core is decent, at best. I forget your SLB's name but he's good; the rest are very average players at best

Your corners are nothing to be scared of, at all. I like New England's matchup against your secondary a lot

You will learn this a lot, but Rex Ryan will ruin your defense against really good teams. If he were smart, he'd rush your front 4 and drop 7 every time. But he is so keyed on blitzing often that it will hurt him. It works on inexperienced guys like Luck, but against Brady? He'll rip that secondary apart

I just also think the Colts are the most overrated team in the entire league, where I actually think they might struggle to win the division. If luck wasn't there they are a 4 win team. And he makes too many mistakes to be considered a "super bowl contender"

The Vikings are playing like they expected SF to hand it to them. Pathetic. ZImmer and his coaching staff half to do a better job of keeping their perspective in check.

I'm just flat out embarrassed for my team. The defense did as much as possible considering how porous they were against the run and this supposedly revamped offense offered no help whatsoever.

You factor in that Teddy's INT was the result of Mike Wallace quitting on a route IN WEEK 1 and we've got full self-destruction. San Fran will be back to pure shit by week 3.

Bengals looked good yesterday, was happy with that. Hopefully Tyler Eifert can stay healthy the entire season, that will certainly help. I won't put much into it because it was against the Raiders secondary but it was nice to see regardless. Chargers should be a tough one, Allen went off yesterday.

Stephon Gilmore has made a name for himself as a good shutdown corner and Aaron Williams is quietly one of the better safeties in the game. Regardless of how you look at it, we're a top 5 defense. Yeah, Luck isn't as experienced as Brady, but the Colts have all the weapons and had all the opportunities to pick us apart and we shut it down for the most part.

Discrediting the Bills D even the slightest is dumb

Thinking about it now, yea it was a dumb call. Shouldve ran the ball or taken the sack. But either way the defense needed to step up and make a fucking stop.

I didn't say the bills defense isn't good. But this upcoming week will prove my point. Brady will be fine versus Buffalo, and Luck is going to struggle versus the Jets

People are attacking the decision to throw as dumb, which isn't wrong, but the other stupid decision is one that I saw happen twice during week one (Broncos made a similar decision and it almost cost them): they decided to kick the field goal. The obvious logic is that it puts you up 6, so the opposing team has to score a touchdown instead of kick a field goal. Why it's stupid, though, is that there is a much higher chance you lose the game by doing that.

The Giants should have taken a gone for it on fourth down. If you score the touchdown, the game's over. If you don't score, the Cowboys are playing for a field goal and have awful starting position. By kicking the field goal, you not only give them better field position to start, you have their offense playing for a touchdown (i.e. much more aggresively). If they're playing for the field goal, there's a good chance they settle for a long field goal that could be missed, and in most situations you are winning or going to OT. Instead, the Cowboys were going for it all and drove down the field easily to win.

The situation occurred twice (that I saw) this week. The Giants made the wrong decision and it lost them the game (the clock mismanagement obviously didn't help either, but it doesn't invalidate my point). The Broncos made the wrong decision and they were a Steve Smith dropped catch away from losing.

The most baffling part is that apparently the Giants players were told not to score a touchdown. Is Tom Coughlin on drugs?

Imagine if they had competent coaching on that last drive... The Cowboys would have started with the ball on their own one with 40 seconds left.

The most baffling part was the fact that this happened to Tom Coughlin who never makes these mistakes late in a game.
