Can't even breath on these receivers, probably 7 or 8 penalties for contact alone

I think the Lions offense will get better, but I don't see any way our defense will improve. Just not good. Ngata looks old. Mathis looked like he was on his death bed. Tulloch looked like he lost a step. Our defensive line gave no pressure. The linebackers played like shit.

Man will Collinsworth stfu about not running the ball damn.... It wasnt that bad of a call.

Going for the throat is almost always the right call, and because of that, coaches should always go for the throat. Also, Eli could have taken a knee. Throwing it away was the dumb thing. 
 
Nevertheless, I think running the ball from the 1 yard line is more "going for the throat" than running play action for receivers who are working in very limited space.
