This Rockets team is so embarrassing, and it's made even worse by the fact that it was obvious that this volatile group would eventually implode...

They always called him the "glue guy" for a reason. Losing him didn't look awful at first but now it's obvious there isn't a backcourt leader in that locker room. Dwight's leadership is obvious with the other players. He's always teaching and always talking to people between whistles., but clearly he has no impact on James Harden. I don't know what Parsons could have done to get through to the knucklehead wearing #13 but it's a good thing for James Harden that he's still young and has a chance to grow up.

Houston isn't landing free agents because all free agents know that 1) they're just going to play a role (or as BWare says, a roll) on that team behind Harden and Howard (main reason why Parsons left) and 2) the front office has no qualms with trading anybody at any time

I've said this for years--being willing to uproot somebody's life for pretty much no reason is kind of Daryl Morey's schtick. He'll acquire guys with short effectiveness life spans and then not resign them the following year. Or, he'll go through all the work of acquiring Houston's two best PGs of the past ten years (Lowry and Dragic) and let both find their way to the exit, somehow.

I am honestly surprised that Trevor Ariza signed on in Houston after he was dealt so quickly after signing a nice deal coming over from the Lakers. I know he got his money regardless but having to move unexpectedly has to be so hard.

Wish Gordon Hayward would've missed the half court heave vs. Duke by 30 feet like that one. Would've saved some years on my life.
