Well, nobody has clinched but I think Houston has the tiebreaker with both, but I'm almost certain they have it on Utah. I've been trying to find them but haven't had luck.

EDIT: Both tebreakers hinge on Conference record because spits occurred between all 3 teams.

Houston and Dallas 26-24
Utah 24-26

So Utah's only way to guarantee a spot is to win out. A 41-41 or 40-42 tie with Houston goes to Houston.

Dallas and Houston tied at 41-41 would come down to division records and Houston would win that because they currently hold a better division record and a 41-41 tie with Dallas would require Dallas to lose out (which would include another division loss to San Antonio), which is very possible.

Either way, Houston has to find a way to beat  a hot Minnesota team tomorrow or it's all meaningless.

I mean, they are in a way

#3 is obviously valuable
#16 is a decent role player possibly.
#23 will be used to move up. Whether its to move #16 to like #13, or its #16 and #23 to move from #4 to #3 or some shit like that
#31 & #35 I hope we keep, as they will be really cheap guys with near 1st round talent that we can use as bodies//development.
#46, #53, & #58 can and should be used as trade fodder

Only 1 is an "asset" to get an established player potentially, but the other picks could definitely be used as trade fodder to improve deals or improve draft positon

By stingy do you mean trying to maximize value? He offered 4 firsts for Justise Winslow -- that's not what I'd call stingy

Four low quality firsts though right? Would they have gotten one quality player?

Those low first rounders are largely useless

The great Jim Peterson (Wolves broadcaster) gets it when it comes to James Harden. Here are some of Jim's quotes from tonight:

"He basically got Kevin McHale fired by himself coming into camp overweight...out of shape."

"When your best player isn't your hardest worker, that's a problem."

"Honestly, I don't like watching James Harden play...the muck it up style does not make for aesthetically pleasing basketball...the way he holds the ball so much, controls the flow of the game so much, is not fun to watch, in my opinion."

The 2nd best scorer on the Rockets is freaking Trevor Ariza, who has made 1 more basket all season than Jared Sullinger has, according to B-R.

James Harden has to carry the weight of the entire team offensively, so no shit he's not gonna try as hard on defense. Curry's done the same thing this year too with the less-than-stellar defense; Westbrook too.

Houston needs a lot more scoring help added to that team. Without Harden, they aren't even sniffing the playoffs.

There's so much more to the problems with James Harden:

His offensive style is not conducive to two very important things--1. a team's rhythm or consistent and 2. high-percentage shooting. He takes so many difficult shots that it's practically impossible for him to have the percentages he should have considering his supposed standing in the league.

He is lazy in every aspect and that is a fucking problem. I would rather not sniff the playoffs than be a .500 8 seed because my supposed superstar is a lazy piece of shit who has an attitude problem and doesn't work well with his teammates. Fuck James Harden. At this point, I'd trade him for a mop bucket.

Well, if Houston wins on Wednesday, they're in with the 8 seed. Dallas has 7 on lock down, now.
