He's gonna break that scoring record eventually, and I would say that Durant would surpass him a few years after, but his injury last year put him behind LeBron's pace, and I'm not sure he'll stay as healthy as LeBron has. 
 
But there is a chance LeBron's back prematurely ends his career imo.

i think both lebron and kd have a much higher risk of their careers ending a bit too soon.

If he plays 7 more years, with 90 games a year he needs about 19 PPG. His PPG will still be higher the first years, but his games per year are gonna go down.
