FWIW, I'm on your side in that argument.  I just didn't respond yesterday.
 
Any team 2-9 could probably reach the ECF if it were possible for all of them to avoid Cleveland.

I would narrow that to 2-7, as I don't think Detroit, Charlotte, Washington, or New York has enough to go that far, but Toronto, Atlanta, Chicago, Miami, Indy, and Boston all could face Cleveland in the ECF
