Just wait another 7 months for Draymond and Kawhi become more mainstream names. Mexi will hop off the bandwagon like he did Kobe, Blake, and Harden

Draymond is in line to start the all star game and Kawhi is the person right behind him in votes. They're pretty mainstream

To people who actively watch the NBA, sure.

But people who don't watch basketball know of Blake Griffin. They clearly know of Kobe and Lebron. They know Steph Curry

They could not tell you what team Kawhi or Dray is on. Hell, they might not even know they play basketball. They are not mainstream celebrities

I don't see Draymond ever making it to that level, but there is a chance I guess.

Kawhi might based on talent but he's so soft spoken even that's doubtful

All Star games in every sport are fucking terrible anyway.

If you want players to get recognition that actually holds some weight, just wait until the all-nba teams come out at the end of the year.

It's an alley-oop showcase.  It's not even basketball.

It's entertaining for a few minutes, but that's it.

At least it doesn't decide anything. The ASG is fun.

It'd be much worse if they tried to turn it into something meaningful like the MLB
