The Bulls suck, the Hawks suck, the 4/5 match up was a sweep and the Cavs are down two starters. Yes, the East somehow is worse than advertised.

A 60 win team is being pushed by the 38 win 8th seed who squeaked in ahead of two teams significantly better than them.

Seeing what teams like Brooklyn and Milwaukee are doing to "top seeds" it makes me think about what a team like Phoenix would do in the East.

The Hawks are a fake top seed.

The Bulls struggle to score even in normal settings, so the Bucks length is not a good match up for them, but yea, not a good look. I think they'd beat anyone else at the bottom of the East convincingly, but at 50 wins, there are 6 teams in the West with a better record, and the 7th team has the same record.

Cavs will would be fine against most West teams in a series.

Someone needs to explain to me why Olynyk will serve a smaller suspension than JR Smith.

What, are they going light because of Love's "better be just and swift" comment?

You can turn a guy's shoulder to mush (yeah, that thing will likely continue to pop out. The joint is never the same after being out of place), but you can't swing an arm in frustration?

What a joke.

Lebron alone gives them a chance against anyone.

I think Love's comments are the only reason he did get suspended, otherwise he would have maybe just gotten a fine.

But yes, I agree, UFC moves should be taken more seriously than they are.

because Kelly's wasn't even intentional; he's a clumsy tall white guy that has no idea how to box out (noted by Evan Turner, who practices with him daily)

There was almost no intent to injure Love; he was just trying to make sure Love didn't get the rebound.

JR is a multiple offender that deliberately tried to take out Crowder. Smith has done this shit before (look at the top post on /r/nba), and 2 games is lucky for him; he could have easily gotten 10 games

I would have given 4-5 games to JR, and just a large fine to Olynyk, or at least suspend Perkins if Olynyk gets a game too. This was almost best case scenario for JR's camp, only getting 2 games

Players lock arms on rebounds all the time, even Kevin Love does it, but they usually don't pull their opponents arm down and bend it back. Being "clumsy" doesn't make you innocent. I'm sure there wasn't a specific intent to dislocate his shoulder, but it was a reckless, non-basketball play. That is the intent. If he wasn't aiming to hurt him, maybe he shouldn't have put a submission hold on him. In MMA, they actually give you a chance to tap out to avoid having your arm snapped.
