You heard it here first. Nolan Arenado is a top 3 third baseman in the league this year. I see breakout written all over.

This "if the Cubs care about winning they'll have Kris Bryant start the season with the major league team" narrative is fucking stupid. He's going to go to the minors for TWELVE FUCKING GAMES, and because of those twelve games he spends in the minors, they get him for a year longer, so if they do that they get him for at least 150 more games, compared to bringing him up right away and losing those 150 games. If they were serious about winning they'd want those extra 150 games.

Are the Orioles seriously moving gausman, their best starter to the pen?

Indians optioned Danny Salazar to Triple A and are most likely going to give a rotation spot to Tomlin. Good to see they're already unwilling to take risks and are just going to play it safe and hope for mediocrity.

I don't agree with the move but I don't get how you can call him our best starter at this point.

I would say he's at least better than Norris, Ubaldo and Gonzalez. O's are babying him, when they should be letting him log some innings.

They're paying Ubaldo too much at this point to move him to the pen. He should be the odd man out but because of that contract I think they feel obligated to give him a shot at least. I don't think you could justify Norris or Gonzalez to the pen. Both had career lows in ERA last season.

That may be the case but I do think Gausman is going to light it up this season. No need to toy around with a young starter if he's already proven he belongs in the rotation.

The Tigers are keeping both Hernan Perez and Andrew Romine because having a super-utility guy who can't hit at all is more important than having actual pinch hitters.

McGowan is pretty much done imo. Santos is electric but you better hope he at least has average command.
