I'm not sure who would actually outbid the Orioles. 7/150 seems fair

Also, another team paying top dollar on the trade market for a fucking reliever. The Royals have single-handedly increased the value of back end relievers exponentially.

The Marlins wanted Betts, Moncada, Eduardo Rodriguez, vazquez and more. Lmfao no.

I get Fernandez is a cost controlled ace, but christ thats a package. Betts is already a 5 win player, Moncada could be the best prospect in baseball this time next year, and Erod is at least a number two in the making.

Also the Cardinals' beat writer believes Heyward is on his way to Chicago. Nothing official

They have no reason to ask for less, because there is no reason to actively look to move him. They were seeing if someone was dumb enough to throw together a mega package (similar to what the Diamondbacks did but even more so), but no one bought. Can't fault them for trying. It's similar to how the Indians are "shopping" Carrasco and Salazar. They'll listen, but they won't accept anything unless they're clearly winning the deal, because their contracts are so valuable.

I'd venture to say at an average rate. I think they're going to move Soler and push him back to RF anyway. I think they really should trade Schwarber while his value is high though, because he really has no position on the Cubs. Might have to be a DH tbh.
