extension talks with suh broke down right when we said we won't pick up fairly's option for next season. not saying they ate connected but thats cool. they want to push fairly to improve, instead, he can walk. to me, it really looks like suh won't be here long term.

I'd say it's clearly for Bortles or Bridgewater.
Why

#1 HOU is gonna be Mack, Clowney, or a QB.
#2 STL is Watkins. They would only trade down if they can ensure Sammy is on the board
#3 JAC will take BAP defensive player, or Watkins.

Why would Cleveland trade away assets when they will be there at 4. This is the Trent Richardson situation all over again: trading away assets for no reason

Lions signed a safety, definitely going to draft Gilbert if he's available.
Gilbert or Mosley, maybe Ebron

How many early picks are the Rams gonna waste on receivers? I'd say they could easily go GRob.

Houston needs a QB, Jacksonville needs a QB. You can't sit here and just tell me exactly what so and so team is going to do right now. Someone else will trade up if the Browns don't.

I don't even think they'll trade up, I was just saying. It wouldn't be for Watkins.

Not to mention, it's nothing like the Trent Richardson situation, because you can't put a pricetag on a franchise QB (Not saying anyone in this draft is that, but if the Browns feel there is a franchise QB, you do whatever it takes to guarantee you get that guy).

I'd rather just wait, hope a team who gets one of the top two picks next year doesn't need a QB, then trade a kings ransom for either pick and get Mariota or Winston. But that's extremely risky business.

I really think the Lions are gonna trade up for Watkins. The mutual interest seems way to high for it not to happen.

They have to trade a lot to get it done. I can see him going #2 overall, and a zero percent chance he falls out of the top 7

Picks 1 through 5 are all estimated at, at least 4 years/20 million, with the 2nd pick being 23 million.

Cap hit for the Lions on receivers alone (Calvin, Tate, possible top 5 pick)

2014: $22,203,957+ (accounting for Burleson's dead money this year and few other small salary receivers as well as the 3 above)
2015: $30,840,446
2016: $36,276,935

That's nearly 20% of the salary cap dedicated to receivers alone this year, and that percentage will rise in the next two years as the salary cap will not increase at the same rate as the Lions receivers salaries.. Doesn't seem likely.

About 21% in 2015 and 23% in 2016 to be exact.

Blows my mind that that guy plays in the NFL, he's not even big.

Same exact thing I was thinking. Maybe he's not into the weights workout yet, I don't know.

A lot of linebackers aren't that big, actually. Sean Lee is more toned, but he can't be that much bigger.

Not gonna lie, Bortles is in a great position to succeed with everything they've surrounded him with. I said all along the draft process that post draft is a better time to predict future success. I still don't think he'll ever be elite, but he could turn out to be a good QB. His mechanics still bug the hell out of me though. Let's face it though, not to be a dick, but his best pass is the screen, and boy did they get him 2 WR's who excel at creating those into big plays.

Browns have officially offered the Houston Texans both of their 2 First Round picks for 2015 (Cleveland's & Buffalo's) for WR Andre Johnson
