I'd consider him probably somewhere between below-average to average. He was probably the worst lineman on our unit, but our unit as a whole is really good (two all-pros, recent first round pick Schwartz). Played next to some shitty RTs in his tenure here as well so not all blame can be placed on him for some of his lack luster performances. Was surprised to see him get that much money. He's got size and can move, but at times clumsy. Probably better in pass-protection than run-protection, but doesn't really excel in either. Was better in 2012 than 2013, but was injured last year.
 
Banner wanted Chud to release Lauvao mid-season according to reports. Don't know exactly why, considering O'Neil Cousins makes him look like Joe Thomas.
 
I'll be honest, I had no idea he was a free agent until I saw the report the Redskins signed him.
