Sorry, I haven't been on the site recently.

BUT, how are we determining who has the best team?

Like Brook Lope, Steph Curry, and Tim Duncan would be able to stop KD & Kobe.

Not to mention none of those 3 are elite defenders at all.

Lopez and Duncan aren't elite defenders? Lol ok

Anthony Davis clearly isn't the only thing you are misinformed about.

I don't think Brook Lopez is an elite defender haha.

And you might run into matchup problems when you play quicker 4's with Duncan.

Lopez is one of the best defensive centers the league has to offer. I've never understood the misinformation about that. He has been excellent defensively over the last two seasons. Is it because he's a poor rebounder?

And Duncan like I said in the admin lounge, I was worried about the perception of him defending fours, but I took about two hours yesterday watching tape of him defensively, going through different numbers, etc and I was surprised by what I saw. I said in the admin lounge that I could put up the argument that he's better defensively against fours. I was surprised that was the case (that he could effectively defend all different types of fours), or else I wouldn't have picked him.

Hopefully I'll get to make my next pick at some point in 2014.

Whether all this information is true or not, considering the league is being decided by voting, you're going to have your work cut out for you.

I've said that from the start. People are going to vote for the team with the five overall best starters, whether they are a good or poor fit. Which is fine, we do this for fun. My fun is from building a team that fits well together and to learn more about the players in the league from watching film and looking at numbers.

Either way I don't buy Brook Lopez as the defender you're hyping him up to be.

Find a way to watch him play when you have free time and trust me you'll be surprised by what you will see. He's not a good rebounder but the team always rebounds better with him on the floor. I don't know who coached the Lopez twins coming up but while neither are good rebounders both of their teams always rebound better because they find someone and box them out. He may be a poor individual rebounder but he makes the team better, that counts for soMething. He's excellent defending the post, he's excellent in defending the PnR, he doesn't miss assignments. Now that I think about it I have a long post detailing how good he is defensively but it's probably from last offseason so it would be hard to find.
