CC, I started evaluating Jabari Parker today. Curious to hear where you view him in the NBA?

I've only gone through three games so far, but I definitely don't see him on the perimeter too often. He's in the mold of this years Paul Pierce.

A lot of similarities to freshman Syracuse Melo who obviously developed his jumper further so I see no reason why Jabari can't do the same. He's good in the post though and great in transition. Terrible defender but he'll have no problem scoring in the league. Good not great athete (a la Melo/Pierce).

Agreed. I suppose you could put Melo/Pierce into that same category.

Quick question...I am fairly certain Celveland goes with Embiid. But say they don't...how far does Embiid fall? I personally believe he wouldn't make it past Orlando at #4 but an argument could be made he could fall out of the top 5 possibly to the Celtics at #6?

He would have to be red flagged at this point to NOT go #1, so the same goes for #2 or #3.

Fun fact: Jabari Parker recorded better rebounding numbers at Duke than Nerlens Noel did at Kentucky.

Towards the back end of the year Jabari was by far our best defensive rebounder (Amile Jefferson was our best offensive rebounder but you've probably never heard of him).

Part of your stat has to do with Duke having 4 sub-par defensive rebounders around him though, while Kentucky had other guys like WCS and Poythress

Been watching a lot of Jabari so I know who Jefferson is. Probably wouldn't have known him by name this time last week though.

I think you guys are underselling the athlete a young Melo was.

And Jabari doesn't put people on posters every now and then? Remember that dunk vs. KU in Chicago?

Comparing Jabari to Melo or Pierce is as ridiculous as comparing Embiid to Hakeem or Wiggins to LeBron.
