Good job Nathan, you didn't blow a 4 run lead! Major props! Like I said, he's always calling out the fans and he wonders why he gets no respect, aside from him blowing saves.

Here's a blog post by a pretty good local blogger that encompasses the late Tigers' woes: http://detroitsportsrag.net/tigers-fans-are-not-spoiled-ya-pederast-looking-dope/#more-3496

But regarding the discussion about Nathan, a chunk of the blog post pretty finely sums up what has been Nathan's tenure in Detroit so far:

This asshat was our foil for years. In his career against the Tigers, he enjoyed a 1.44 ERA, a WHIP of .89 and 36 saves. We were Joe Nathan’s bitch for YEARS.
THEN he comes to Detroit, loses his fastball velocity; blows six saves; has an ERA of over 5.00; throws a rookie (Nick Castellanos) under the SEMTA; mutters “fuck off” to his manager; stares down Miguel Cabrera; refuses to take responsibility; and tells the fans that a late-inning loss isn’t going to ruin his evening.
And that all occurred BEFORE he gave us the “Go Fuck Yourselves” address via sign language. Then he gave an awful apology that was surely mandated from the front office in which he told the media eunuchs in attendance it wasn’t “FAIR” to him that he was being judged based on past closers in Motown and that he had pitched “good” lately.
This delusional lunatic has given up 13 hits and walks in 5 1/3 innings pitched in August. He thinks that is good.

Wheeler pitched a good game. Struggled early on but got settled in afterwards.

Felix has a 1.95 ERA in mid-August.  That's LOL.  Tigers are so screwed today.  Poor David Price.

Nats are now 15 games over 500, on a 5 game win streak and 8-2 in our last 10. Also have a better record than the Brewers now

Joe Nathan today regarding the fans: ""I think alot of it is lack of knowledge-they got frustrated from 1st couple months of how I pitched but then dont realize I've been better"

Lack of knowledge.  This mother fucker.

3 ER with a on and off defense the Dodgers got. Expect some tough losses.

I honestly think the Nats are the best in the NL

Jim Johnson has been called up lol. I see he didn't do so well in Triple-A for Toledo.

If they're the best in the NL then the NL must be absolutely terrible

If it doesn't work in the minors, it'll work in the majors.
