So the Rays so far have got Drew Smyly and Nick Franklin

Is that good? My friend who's big into the prospects world told me Franklin is good. But is it enough?
Franklin blows.

Strikes out way to often for a middle infielder

If nobody cared, then wouldn't more teams have been knocking at the Dodgers' door trying to acquire him?

As a seller, probably.

Makes you wonder if Tampa could have got a similar offer from Oakland for Price? Possibly more, even, considering Price is still under contract next season.

The Cubs got the best return on their starter and he was the 3rd best starter traded.

is it because he has a great contract?
maybe because he's been so good at center?
or is it because the dodgers are in need of outfielders?

Swapping Kelly Johnson for Stephen Drew is a win, Drew has more upside. The Prado pickup could be a solid one too.

Like what Cashman has done this year, hasn't brought in any major pieces but hasn't given up anything either and I still think we got better. An infield of Tex, Prado, Jeter, and Headley is infinitely better than what we started the season with.
Drew is garbage. He can't play 3B that well defensively (compared to SS) and he can't even hit .200

He's not going to play third. If he's going to play, it'll be at second.

I play a better infield than Kelly Johnson. Drew will hit above .200, not starting the season on time and having spring training and all that is clearly hurting him right now but he's not this bad.

Kelly Johnson is that bad

Kersh is so good, he giving up one run is the equivalent to your ace giving up 3
