Framing is extremely valuable when evaluating a catcher, and he's really good at that. He may be hitting in the low 200's, but at least he gets on base.

Carlos Santana is hitting .301 with a 1.011 OPS in his last 48 games after hitting .146 in his first 46 games.

ESPN Boston's Gordon Edes reports that the Red Sox are considering trying to acquire Matt Kemp from the Dodgers.

The Dodgers have reportedly been shopping Kemp around, and would likely have to eat a large portion of his remaining salary to make a deal work. Presumably, Jon Lester would be involved in the return package heading to the Dodgers.

Wouldn't want to trade Lester for Kemp unless Pederson is coming back.
