The 2nd year is a team option, it says it in the blurb Pugz posted.
But a team option could be a deterrent. If Bynum stays healthy and plays like the all-star he is, he could get a max contract in the following off-season but instead would be locked into the 12 mill. If he doesn't stay healthy, the Cavs decline the option and he gets even less next year. Basically, the team option does him no good.
The Woj article also said the Cavs are going to pursue AK47 and Brand on one year deals if this falls through. Pretty sure Kirlenko and Karasev are really close, so that seems like a safe bet to happen if Bynum doesn't sign IMO. Well idk bout really close, but they know each other.

2 years, 5.75 million for Will Bynum.

I'll laugh when Stuckey gets most of the backup PG time and Will rots on the bench for 3 million a year.
Going into the offseason, I was optimistic that all 4 of my least favorite Pistons (Stuckey, Bynum, Villanueva, Maxiell) would be gone. Now it seems like we will be stuck with 3 of them again. And they are all hot garbage. Dumars is so bad at his job. Literally almost every Pistons fan wanted all 4 gone. He is fucking blind.
If we brought in a new GM for this offseason, I am 100% sure they would have cut Stuckey, amnestied Charlie, and let Bynum and Maxiell. Seemed like common sense fucking moves.

Interesting tidbit I just saw on a Cavs forum (of course, only if everyone is healthy)
The Cavs would have the best starting and back up PGs and Cs in the East.
But Bynum is like the tin man, Varejao is his cousin and Kyrie is his step son. So in total, they might play 5 games together.

We aint gettin Wiggins bruh, and probably not LeBron either, but we'd have to dump one of Bynum or Varejao to have enough space for LeBron next year anyway. Both would have team options.

So it came out today that apparently Rivers played through ankle and foot injuries for the majority of the season and it explains why his play took such an abrupt turn for the better around the All-Star break.

Well with the Datome signing, leaves the roster at 16 which means likely either Siva or English is gone. I REALLY hope Stuckey/Villaneva are going to be traded or something because I like what both Kim and Siva can bring to the team. I think they fit much better than Stuckey at the very least. Stuckey literally has no jumper, with our current makeup he will be even worse than he was last year. No need for a slasher at that position.
