There is plenty of reason not to want him

He has no offensive skill really
He's slow as shit, and that doesn't work in a fast paced offense
His contract isn't good; we should have tons of cap space next year

Only deal I could see Boston doing to get Asik would be to dump Wallace's contract in the process, plus receiving Greg Smith's expiring. No way we give anything of value for Asik; he isn't good

I get the idea that you have seen very little of Asik.

His offensive skill set is playing the pick and roll, finding the hole in the defense along the baseline, and cleaning up the offensive boards. And when he does those things, he finishes at a very solid rate. He can also step out and actually hit a mid range jumper, though he doesn't do it too often.

Asik is a pretty mobile big. He's not Anthony Davis, but he can move well for his size and is very agile. Though I find this funny coming from you, considering your team has the likes of Sullinger, Olynyk, and Humphries. Three guys who aren't exactly known for their ability to fly up and down the court. I also don't see how Asik doesn't work in a fast paced offense, Houston did just fine offensively with him on the court last season and were actually better with him on the court offensively, scoring 111.5 points per 100 possessions. I'm also not sure how this fast pace is relevant to your team, considering Boston is one of the 10 slowest teams in pace this season, and Brad Stevens has zero history of running a fast paced offense at Butler, or even a average paced offense. Butler was always well below the average pace in the NCAA.

Asiks contract is extremely manageable, especially in a trade where his 8.3M cap becomes even cheaper.

And Asik isn't good? That's an idiotic statement. Do you watch basketball?

Horford is a 4. Dude's just been forced into the 5 spot all his life tho.

It does make sense, but my point is that Horford is better at the 5 than at the 4, always has been.

I'd be inclined to agree with Nola, especially in today's NBA. Anytime you can add more spacing without losing much size, it's a no brainer. Horford can hold his ground down low.

There is literally no evidence aside from "oh my god he's 6'10" to suggest that Horford is a better power forward than center, everything looks in the other direction.

First time in a while I've been able to sit back and watch a Cavs game. Probably not a good thing

The Cavs show a bowling alley in their introduction, that's fucking hilarious.

When the announcer sounds legitimately shocked you scored, you know you're struggling. Anthony Bennett's season in a nutshell.

they seem hell bent on playing him at the 4
I thought signing millsap and a new coach would change it

But their coach was with the spurs who love using td at the 4
