I dont get it

Portland used dorrell at the 4 with lamarcus out
Lakers start wesley johnson at the 4 and lma is clearly struggling trying to guard him

Why not start small? Bring in robin when and if the lakers go with 2 bigs

I guess the answer is lamarcus on offense vs wesley outweighs lamarcus guarding pau

Im just rambling

This is completely different. It's about as set in stone as it could possibly be. Move past it.

I love it when Monty goes with lineups of Aminu, Withey, and Stiemsma on the court with Tyreke. Such an innovative thing.

As much as I hate the state of the Pistons and the situation with their draft pick, I'd probably just light myself on fire if I were a Knicks fan.

Unless the Celts trade Sullinger+ for Kevin Love, I don't see how Melo would even view Boston as an attractive place to go

You have LeBron, Bosh, and DWade, three guys who all took less money to play together. We have heard LeBron make statements on how he is underpaid, and how DWade is getting a Kobe type deal. But in truth, that last sentence really does not matter. Because none of those guys have to take anything under market value this year, they don't have to take less so Miami can fit them all under the cap. I'm not saying they won't take less, for whatever reason, but none of those guys have any incentive to.

So that brings me to LeBron. Last season, he could have had a starting salary of $19,181,750. So this season, it will probably be very close to 20M, if not more. Does he take a 6M paycut to have Melo join that roster? You also have to remember that is per season, so if he takes the 5 year deal like he probably will, so that is obviously around 30M dollars he would lose. And if LeBron doesn't take that much less, will Wade and Bosh take an even bigger paycut for Melo? That's even less realistic.

The big three have already taken their pay cuts, and they know they can play the best basketball and win multiple titles without Melo. So for what reason would they do it? Because they feel bad for him?

No issue, they really liked him and wanted to keep him.

I agree with you, but just to play devils advocate, they don't get taxed in florida. their pay cuts even out. noe with this next deal, they won't.

It doesn't deter you because you aren't realistic regarding the business. You'd prefer to just have your fan boy fantasies, no matter how improbable they are.

But by all means, carry on.
