I never said it was a bad trade for Philly Mexi, don't put words in my mouth...
you said the pick doesn't help them too much and their future is mediocre.

something along those lines.

What did you say
Nothing, it's always been about how the Pelicans faired in the trade for me. It's like this idea that I care if Philly gets a high draft pick, and all of a sudden they "win" the trade, like its some sort of contest. Personally, I couldn't careless about what slot that pick falls in if Philly gets it. I'm not going to be upset whether Philly gets the 12th pick or the 6th pick. It's all about the Pelicans improving. I've said this before, I would still do the trade 100/100 times, and maybe Philly would too, I don't know because it doesn't concern me.

And for the record, saying Philly got Noel and two top 10 picks for Jrue would be like saying the Pels got Gordon, Aminu, Kaman, Rivers, and Davis for Chris Paul. It's just not true.

I said their future is average and not nearly as bright as a bunch of y'all believe for some reason.

And I said that pick wouldn't help them as much as people believed when it looked like that pick would fall somewhere between 13-16 because the Pels were winning while they were healthy. That same point still remains. This draft is top heavy but isn't that much deeper than last years once you get passed those first few guys. For a while it looked like that pick could fall in the 3-6 range which would have been tremendous for Philly, but now the Pels are winning again and that pick is back at the bottom of the lottery.

There are examples of trades where both teams win (George Hill for Kawhi Leonard is a good example).

But if that pick ends up getting them a legit talent, and Nerlens develops, idk how you can't say Philly didn't win it.

it takes at least 3 years to judge a trade like that imo, idk why this is even really a debate right now.

Because some people aren't interested in putting tags on everything.

Unless Jrue falls off a cliff, I'm more than happy with what our return was. Even if Noel turns into a stud and that pick lands a real talent. That doesn't effect my team in anyway.

Exactly. Gotta see who Philly gets with the pick and whether or not Nerlens turns out.

As of NOW, it looks good for them though. They have as bright a future as any young team in the league.

I don't think you have to see who Philly gets to judge the trade. The value is in the pick number itself. How said player turns out has little to do with the value in the trade. They didnt trade for that rookie they draft. They traded for the pick.

I wonder if Portland is coming back down, they've lost 4 of their last 6 and their defense is really becoming a problem.

Bennett finally played like he deserved to be the #1 pick. Hit long range jumpers, beat Anthony Davis off the dribble, used his athletcism to draw fouls (literally almost postered two guys into oblivion). Hopefully it's a turning point.

Anthony Davis is on track to accomplish things on the basketball court that only the greats of the game have. The signs are everywhere that he is primed to be the NBA's next generational frontcourt talent.
