The thing that I find funny is Dwight said one of the things he didn't like about LA was how much they ran the pick and roll and that he didn't get enough post up opportunities, but he goes to Houston who ran more pick and roll than any team in the league, and I also think Dwight had more post up opportunities than anyone last season.
There is no fucking reason Dwight shouldn't run a lot of pick and roll. One reason why the Lakers looked so scary before the beginning of last season was the pairing of perhaps the two best pick and roll players in the league, in him and Nash.
I'd be worried that the Rockets give Dwight so many post ups that they limit Hardens opportunities in the pick and roll and isolation. Hell even transition.
I'm so ready to see what Denver does, that roster was tailor made for what Karl wanted to do. Now that Shaw is there, I don't expect him to run the same system, so I don't expect the same results. Early in his coaching career he was a part of some teams that had a uptempo pace, but for the last half decade and more he has been a part of teams that played real slowed down. So I don't expect him to coach a Denver team that is top 10 in pace, I would expect them to be around the middle of the league. Which doesn't fit that roster, I wouldn't be surprised if they missed the playoffs.
faried has more energy but hickson probably has better defense, no?
i see what you mean though. shaw wants a post player. had them in indy, had them in LA, already said he wants to go inside and is going to with what he has even though he knows they arent known for being that kind of player
tonight is the first "nick young on national tv" game of his career
im not counting his stint with the clips or anything he did in washington, idk if he was even on last year in philly (though, remember that playoff game vs memphis when he hits those clutch 3s)
