It is irrelevant, because it is preseason. I think it is pretty factual he is coming back in better shape and much more well prepared. I think he has a bounce back season.

Jesus christ, looking at the Chargers schedule, it looks brutal. Outside of the Browns, every single game is losable.

And their bye week gives them two weeks to prepare for the Browns lol

How is that a penalty?
I could post a ton of gifs like that. These refs are horrendous.

It's gotten to the point where the announcers are even laughing at them when normally it's the "oh they're doing a good job" routine.

Yeah, it's really bad. I mean, the regulars miss calls and all that, but nothing to this extent. These replacement officials are just lost, they have no right being out there. If the NFL doesn't get this resolved very soon, it's going to hurt the sport this year. It's all we'll be talking about every week, this missed call, this bad call. All the attention is on them and when they mess up, it's going to turn into a huge ordeal. They need to get this resolved before week 1 of the regular season or bad things are going to happen.

I think it's pretty obvious they don't know the rules. Today they had the report that they are wearing ear pieces so someone in the booth can tell them what to call. It's just frustrating to watch them walk around with the ball, no clue what to do with it, or huddle up for 10 minutes just to make a holding call. Like you said, NFL needs to get this resolved. Lockout isn't the solution to everything.

I've been gone, did anyone make a thread about this report that the NFL and owners are discussing just putting one official on the field for spotting purposes and having other people call penalties from the booth? The NFL is so idiotic.

Here we all rip the regular officials for the bad/missed calls they make but we don't realize how good they really are until something like this happens. They are very good at what they do, the NFL needs them. If this carries over into the regular season with the replacement officials, it's going to be a disaster. I seen about 10 holding calls last night that weren't called once, seen a couple PI's that were obvious that weren't called. The list goes on and on, they are lost. They are missing calls, calling things that didn't even happen and slowing the game down way too much. Takes what? 10 minutes for them to actually make the call. Can't have it. I have a lot more respect for the regular officials now after seeing this. They will miss things from time to time but they are generally very good. I feel bad for these replacements, they don't even deserve to be put in this position.

Last night it seemed like they were scared to throw flags. Either scared or they are just simply overly lost.

On another note: Nice opening drive for the Bucs. Freeman is gonna have a really good year. Vincent Jackson looked real good on that drive.

Now Gerald McCoy is hurt again, hope it's not serious.

Brady gets creamed then throws a pick 6. Bucs looking good.

Ouch. Bucs lose Davin Joseph for the entire year. That hurts. Still liked what I seen out of the starters, held the Patriots starting offense to 7 points and were getting a lot of pressure on Brady. As of right now, I'd say Doug Martin will be the starting RB, he looks good. I just love all the talent the Bucs have on both sides, they have good young guys with a ton of talent mixed in with a bunch of good veterans. If this team isn't contending this year, look out in another year. I think they are capable of being one of them surprise teams this year. I gotta rave, love the talent and love the hiring of Greg Schiano.
