Looks at eagles..
And countless other teams. Winning free agency doesn't equal winning on Sundays most of the time.

I'm also interested in seeing how Nicks reacts to his payday. It was reported that the Saints were worried that he would just check out in New Orleans after getting paid. Who knows what happens in Tampa. Dude is immature and his time in New Orleans wasn't all roses.

No, but it shows they are committed to bettering the team and trying to win. The Glazer's have taken a lot of heat over the years for being cheap, well that isn't the case this year. Nicks will be fine in Tampa Bay, he's a very good guard. Nicks was a good player in New Orleans, he will be a good player in Tampa Bay.

Being committed to putting a better team on the field is irrelevant if the results don't show on Sundays. Then you are just foolishly throwing money around. Dan Snyder is committed to winning.

Well, the season hasn't even started, so give them a chance. It looks good on paper, both additions were positions of serious need, I'm rather certain they will not regret it. You know Nicks is a good guard. The only regrets might be the Saints letting him go and him landing in the same division.

Could really see Richardson going #4 if the Browns dont land Ben Tate.

The Browns signed Frostee Rucker.

Phil Taylor was in a brawl, Jabaal Sheard has thrown someone through a glass door, and Rucker got arrested for hitting his wife.

The Cleveland Browns defensive line.

Maybe, but I would rather just trade a 2nd rounder for Tate, or just swap picks or something to get him.

The more and more FA goes along, the more I really do see Blackmon or Claiborne being there at #7

Will the Vikings make a move ? Let's pick up another bench player when we need 504058373748 players...

thats not happening elcheato

Name one team that has 2+ max salary players at the same position, besides for WRs

Drafting Claiborne = Trading Haden. It would be stupid to draft Mo, and find proper trade value for a very good Joe Haden, when you can keep Haden and draft a RB, which is a position of need, and is considered the best RB prospect since AP

So... To recap: We've lost half of our free agents and haven't signed one with $40 Million to spend...

And what if they end up trading for Ben Tate?

Tom Heckert didn't think Julio Jones was worth #6 last year, and Blackmon is a lesser prospect so he definitely wouldn't go there. We just plugged up one of our bigger needs of another starting DE. We literally have Joe Haden and no one else at corner (Mike Adams is likely leaving, as well as Dimitri Peterson). It's a lot of money, but nothing else makes sense. Unless we trade down.

Also, Nnamdi and Asante are pretty heavily compensated on Philly..

AJ Green signed a 4 year 20 million dollar contract last season as the #4 pick. That's not a max salary player.

In 4 years would the Browns have a decision to make between Mo and Joe? Yes, but that's 4 years away.
