All the young, great QBs throw lots of interceptions early in their careers, Cam will fix that part of his game and is going to be one of the best QBs in the NFL for the next decade+

Meh idk. I just think he's overrated. People already tryna rank him as a top 10 QB.

Only times I really saw Newton play was against the Jags and Redskins, and he was sailing balls all over the place in one game, and pretty efficient in the other.

When you factor in his production running the football, I don't see how he's not top 10

Lol yeah, the top 10 is redic.
Also, w/ the Tom Brady pick, #199, the San Fransisco 49ers select: Jason Slowey, C.

doing some research on Ebner

leave it to Bill Belichick to pick a guy who didnt play college football until his junior year because "of his dedication to the rugby team"

If he's top 10, that team would have been a lot better. If you have a top 10 QB, you are in the playoffs IMO. Phil Rivers is the exception.

Trent Dilfer is a strong football analyst, but his QB evals should be taken with a grain of salt. He loves guys he thinks are like him.
Couldn't have said it better myself.

ESPN
BEREA, Ohio -- The two biggest problems I have with the Cleveland Browns taking quarterbackBrandon Weeden are his age (28) and where they drafted him. There wouldn't be as much of an uproar if the Browns had selected Weeden in the second round and not the first.

Perhaps that was the Browns' original plan. If the Tennessee Titans hadn't taken Baylor wide receiver Kendall Wright at No. 20, Cleveland would have drafted him at No. 22 instead of Weeden, according to ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.

Umm, that's what happens when a guy gets taken. You go to the next player on the big board, Weeden.

An elite rugby player, Ebner did not play football in high school, instead competing internationally on the pitch. Walked on at Ohio State, earning a scholarship and the respect of his teammates by excelling on special teams. Races down the field like a bat out of hell and hunts returners like a heat-seeking missile. Has been a dedicated workout enthusiast his whole life and it showed at pro day — bench-pressed 225 pounds 23 times and ran the 60-yard*shuttle in 10.99 seconds, illustrating his conditioning level.* Also recorded surprising athletic numbers, including a 39-inch vertical leap, broad jump of 10 feet 8 inches, short-shuttle time of 4.04 seconds and a 3-cone time of 6.59 seconds. Square-jawed, mentally tough, competitive overachiever with a wedge buster’s mentality (relishes contact) who will be given the opportunity to carve a niche as a special-teams demon. Has leadership traits and is the type you root for.

Seems like the type of player that Belichick would like. Plus, he gets an OSU guy; Urban prolly had something to do with this pick

They probably could have gotten him at 37. They could have got someone who will actually help the team for more than 4-6 years.
