No. JPP had a high bust rate. He flew up boards quickly and was viewed as a Workout Warrior.

& I love how you make it seem like its so obviously that Young was a horrible QB.

And do you honestly think Richardson is going to help the Jets win a championship? They will lose multiple draft picks in the deal that will help them build this team for the upcoming years. You're honestly clueless if you think this will happen. And yes, Tannenbaum does go up for his guys, he's not going to give the keys to his job away for Trent Richardson.

& Shonn Greene ? Really? 1 player? I could say the same with MJD. Fact is, RB is becoming expandable. Giants won the Super Bowl with like the worst rushing game in the NFL. Same with packers.
We're saying the same exact things about JPP.

As a 12 year old I was convinced VY wasn't a franchise QB.

Yes he would help, this team is in win-now mode. Getting back to what got us to two consecutive AFC Championships seems pretty dumb to me . You're honestly clueless to completely dismiss the idea of the Jets trading up. Again, I never said it's going to happen nor do I think it will happen, the only thing I ever said was that I'd be very happy if it did, then your negative nancy ass had to come in and spew your nonsense

MJD is the exception, not the rule. Most RBs drafted that late don't become elite. I'm willing to guarantee that no RB in this draft will come close to touching the production that Trent is going to put up in his NFL career.

MJD isn't the exception. There are shit tons of RBs not drafted in the 1st round.. that are productive.. and Yes, I like Trent as a player.. but He's at a position that is becoming expendable. I think Lamar Miller or David Wilson or even David Martin could be better value than Richardson. Simply because you can select a better position with the 1st.

MJD is the exception in that he became elite. RBs drafted in rounds other than the first become productive, but he's one of the few, if not the only one, that became elite.

I'm not high on pretty much any of the players we're going to get at 16, which is why I want to trade up. I like Barron and Upshaw and would be OK with Michael Floyd. But everyone that has been mocked to us other than those three I want nothing to do with.

Terrell Davis played well for four years, all in system that is built for mediocre RBs to have success, which is something that you've said numerous times on this site when we were debating top RBs and Arian Foster was brought up.

I wouldn't call Shady elite yet.

None of the NFLs top 5 rushers this year were selected in the 1st round.

4 out of 5 rushers in the top 5 Rushing Yards in 2010 Were selected in the 2nd Round n Back.

1 RB taken in the 2nd round and Later in 2009 in the top 5 Rushing.

Proof that the NFL is becoming a passing league and RB is becoming expendable.

Michael Turner, Ray Rice, LeSean McCoy, Maurice Jones Drew, Foster, & more. Trading the whole draft and future picks away for Richardson is stupid and Jet fans wanting it should shoot themselves.

Yes, Davis was in a system that helped him.. but it isn't cheating.. and he is still a HOF'er.

I'd be willing to bet that Trent Richardson becomes a better RB than everyone you just named.

http://www.bigcatcountry.com/2012/4/25/2975508/jaguars-draft-rumors-broncos-have-contacted-jaguars-about-7th-pick

& ITS ON!!

GIMME THEM PICKS BITCH!

No doubt in my mind the Jags trade back with teams like the Chiefs, Jets, Broncos, Eagles, Seahawks, all being interested and contacted Jaguars and certain players.

Players of interest by teams that want to trade up?

Ryan Tannehill, Fletcher Cox, Stephon Gilmore, Melvin Ingram. 3 or more of those players will be available.

If the Jaguars trade back to 25, its obvious Stephen Hill will be the selection. Gene Smith LOVES him.

Trent Richardson is going to be elite. He is great to elite at just about everything that makes a RB successful.

Everyone thinks Richardson is the next AP. I honestly don't. I'm sorry. Sure he ran a good 40, but I still don't see the speed to break long runs in the NFL, and I won't be surprised at all if he's hurt every second week like Peterson is, because of his style.

SMH.

Exactly.

Richardson being hyped up to be the next AP is more Media doing to make the draft seem interesting. In reality, you're going to look back on this draft in a few years and it may be like the 2006 draft. Not a lot of talent, and a lot of busts.

There is nothing to suggest that he won't be able to break long runs in the NFL. Nobody caught him from behind in college and his 40 time was good. You have nothing to base your opinion off.

AP isn't hurt every week. Sure, he has small nagging injuries that he plays through, but every single player in the NFL has those. AP has only had one significant injury in his NFL career and every RB in the NFL would have sustained the same injury on the play that he did.

There is a lot of Richardson hype. Yes he's a good player, but my personal opinion is that he should be picked in the 12-20 range, and TBH, Martin in the 16-25 range. They are closer than they appear.

There is no flaw in Trent's game, other than not having elite speed, which isn't even necessary.
