I believe Chuck said no player from the piston should be under all-star consideration because they're that bad

Why is Deron Williams in the all-star game if there is this stupid "players on bad teams can't make it" mindset?
Because the Nets have played without their second best player for the entire season and their third best player for the past three weeks.

Yeah, I don't get Deron making it but no Monroe. NBA is twisted..

Dumb. Monroe deserved it. Only reason Hibbert made it was he plays for a better team. Such a dumb reason.

Monroe is playing like the 2nd best center in the East right now. He should be rewarded.

Monroe doesn't even have better numbers and his team sucks.

If Hibbert was on the Pistons you'd be saying he deserved it over Monroe.

They're pretty even across the board in everything but blocks last I checked.

Both around 15 points / 10 boards / 50% shooting... Hibbert gets 2 blocks, Monroe doesn't even get 1.

Among centers:
2nd in East in scoring.
2nd in East in rebounding.
1st in East in assists.
2nd in East in steals.
2nd in East in double-doubles.

If that isn't All-Star worthy, I don't know what is.

His numbers are identical to Hibbert's and his team sucks, he wasn't snubbed.

Monroe = 16/10/2.5/1.5/0.5/52%
Hibbert = 14/10/2/0.5/1.8/51%

Monroe's edges are in assists/steals, not big men categories. Hibbert kills Monroe in blocks, big man category.

Efficiency rating for Monroe is 23.79.
Hibbert's is 19.53.

If roles were reversed, and their numbers remained the same. I'd say Monroe over Hibbert still.

Westbrooks assist/turnover ratio isn't good enough to be considered elite.

I thought about it for a while, and here is what I would have made the All-Star Reserves if I had the choice:

East:
G - Brandon Jennings
G - Joe Johnson
F - Andre Iguodala
F - Paul Pierce
F - Chris Bosh
F - Danny Granger
C - Roy Hibbert

Guard Alternate: Kyrie Irving
Forward Alternate: Josh Smith
Center Alternate: Greg Monroe

West:
G - Russell Westbrook
G - Steve Nash
G - Tony Parker
F - Kevin Love
F - LaMarcus Aldridge
F - Paul Millsap
C - Marc Gasol

Guard Alternate: Monta Ellis
Forward Alternate: Pau Gasol
Center Alternate: Al Jefferson
