1) Russell Westbrook doesn't play the wing -___-

2) Serge averaged 11 PPG post All-Star break and he's 22 yrs old... give him some time. They don't need to trade Harden. He's a huge asset to that team, not a luxury.
Wing/perimeter...

Ibaka doesn't have a low post game. You can't dump the ball down to him and he'll score consistently. He likely will never develop into that type of player also, just not his game.

Maybe I worded it wrong, but a low post guy who could score would be much more valuable to that team than Harden.

Russell doesn't play the wing he's a PG lol...

And like I said, Ibaka is 22 years old. Trading away Harden for a post player not only takes a huge chunk of their scoring away from their bench (a very important component), but it also emphasizes a "win now" mode, which the Thunder aren't in. Ibaka has a bright future ahead of him, and it's not like they can't win with him as their primary post scorer. They'd be foolish not to leave the team the way it is. (unless the could get CP3 for Russy - unlikely now).

I think their lineup is fine. If they can get a post player (scorer) in the draft (steal) that would be amazing, but it seems like they don't need it. They have defense in the post...which should be enough to get them through.

I still feel like the Thunder are missing that one more piece.
But the West is a bit weaker, so I do think they will get to the Finals.

So wait a minute, Dwight will leave the Magic when his team is better than the Nets and they are currently beating them right now? Hmmm interesting...

Trading Harden for a low post scorer doesn't in anyway, shape, or form mean they are entering a win now mode. I never said they needed to trade for David West or anything.

Also, Harden may not be a bench guy his entire career so they will lose a important component to their bench at some point down the road.

yeah that's my point. Acquiring Al Jefferson would be a TERRIBLE move for the Thunder because he's not a good defender.

An actual threat in the post lol

You won't get it done in the Western Conference being a unbalanced team, which they currently are.

Harden isn't going to leave because he's not starting... he knows he's the best SG on the team and comes off the bench to provide energy, but finishes every game. He's accepted his role, and if he ever leaves OKC, it's not gonna be because he doesn't like coming off the bench...

Never said he was going to leave the team because he's not starting lol

Infact, I never said anything about him leaving the team at all.

I thought that's what you were implying when you said this.

But honestly. Please think of some post player who they could trade for in which their post defense would remain in tact, and they would not miss Harden. (realistically, of course)

In that scenario, I think the Thunder would just use Perkins at PF? lol.
