Lol at BC saying the Mavs blow after one game...
They're really just not that good of a team. Still don't understand how they payed as well as they did last year and they're gonna miss Chandler pretty bad.

They'll make the playoffs but they won't do much.

I know it's the same thing people said last year but lighting never strikes twice in the same place.

I'm not sure if the Heat are that good or even the Mavs just regressed that much. I'm thinking the latter

I think the Mavs just need a little time to gel together as a team with Odom, Delonte, and VC as new pieces. They arent as good as last year. LBJ is a man on a mission this year, you can see it in his eyes that he is all business this year. He has a different look and way about him thats good.

Knicks won today, good to see. Melo went off on the Celtics, but he always does that. I think the Knicks are better now than the Celtics, Shumpert took way too many shots and missed a lot. Knicks will be a lot better off when Bibby and Baron are ready as well.

Goudelock is a good fit for the Lakers at PG.

The Mavericks will be fine. The big thing is the team is just so different that the lack of long TC/8 preseason games is REALLY gonna hurt a team like that and it'll take a few games to get it all gelled together. They clearly have a lot of talent on that team. The bench of Terry/VC/Odom can stack up with any other bench in the league.

I don't think they're championship good, but I still think they contend. It's all going to depend on how the new players fill the old roles. They certainly don't suck though.

Love the fact basketball is back. Thank you Lord.

2 things so far from today:

1. Knicks are as energized on D this season, as they were offense last season. Which will do wonders, now all we need is a PG to run our offense lol
Melo took the game over and all that summer ball and rec leagues did wonders for him he's in much better shape.

2. LeBron will take that step into greatness this season, he'll become the player many of the people on here already claim he is, He was just unbelievable today, came out from the gate and had that killer instinct I havent seen from him since gm 6(?) against the Pistons a few years back when he scored like 20pts straight.

Good lord, what a way to close the game.

I had conceded defeat back at 80-70... I still can't believe that they pulled this one out of their asses. Glad the team doesn't give up as easily as I do. heh
