Shumpert seems to be doing good.

doing good as a SG but they drafted him as a PG. Gotta see more PG skills, before I get excited.

Lotta hustle and big plays on D but he's settling for a lot of jumpshots already.

So far, so good for Brook: 13/10 with 8 FTA. Deron's jumper is still off, but he can run a team like nobody else.

If Morrow weren't playing in NJ, everyone would know who he is.

I thought they were gonna add him to their Dwight deal...if it ever gets done.

Deron and Morrow are probably the only two who would be safe in a deal.

If its the difference of them getting Dwight or not, I think they'll do it.

Why haven't they brought back Humphries yet?

they have plenty of room. about $39M (website i checked hasnt updated for Shawne Williams & rookies) is their total salary, i believe. I think they want to keep that CAP space for a trade for Dwight, so they can appear more lucrative and absorb a bad contract.

Yeah, Morrow won't be a deal breaker.

The Nets are trying to sign guys to one-year deals, with a team-option for the second. That would preserve cap to sign Dwight outright, or maintain flexibility for a mid-season trade.

They're trying to be in a position, kind of like where the Knicks were last year with Melo.

adding talent with short contracts is fine by me. i just think theyd be better off trying to land dwight via free agency. if he doesnt opt for that then they still have cap space to finally build a team.

There's only one thing Jeffries can do and that's draw a charge.
