5 million is about the going rate for shooting specialists these days.
For what it's worth I did read that he may not be entitled to bird rights because of some reason.

And I think 5 mill is too much for him but that's just me.

It probably is, but that seems to be what the market dictates.

Korver, Redick, Mike Miller, Morrow... all have similar roles, and they make between 4.5 to 6 million or so.

Novak literally does only one thing though, and that is stand outside the three point line and take those shots. At least those other guys do a little more.

Novak was more productive than all of those guys

Shooting wise yeah. Speaking for JJ Redick he does a lot more for the Magic than just shoot. Miller was an MLE and I think Korver was too. Anthony Morrow was a contract by the Nets who gave Johan Petro and Travis Outlaw big deals so you can't really use them.

Basketball has always been my worst sport as far as "in the moment" reactions are concerned. It's so difficult to referee, and because of that is refereed terribly at every level, so I get too agitated. I can reel it in after the fact, when a guy realizes it's just a game and really doesn't matter, and then I can assess it and evaluate it much better. I really ain't as bad as I seem during the games and directly after. I'm truly sorry to all of you folks for making you read some of my bullshit.

I think this forum just gets the raw end from me because it's the sport that I react most vehemently to. I'll try to reel it in and will get better about it by next year.

Anyway, thanks for the props even though you've seen my other shit.

Just heard there is a good chance that Carl Landry will be back with the Hornets on a three year deal.

Numerous reports have indicated that Steve Nash is strongly considering signing with the Raptors.

Several NBA personnel executives have confirmed the rumors may have real traction.

"I've been hearing that from people that would know," said one Western Conference executive. "The Raptors may not be ready to win right away, but with (Andrea) Bargnani, (DeMar) DeRozan and maybe (Jonas) Valanciunas coming over next season, they could be pretty decent right away with Nash. And they could have enough cap space to get something done there."

Nash is set to become an unrestricted free agent for the first time since 2004.

Thank you, people actually think the other team is better.

I've brought every number I have to prove that, and they ALL back me up, I even calculated win shares and my team blows that one out of the water. Like a 1.6 to a 1.3.

I'm losing the vote 6-3, and I can honestly say I'm legitimately pissed.
