Lol I at first was going to merge it but figured that wouldn't make any sense.

Anyway, sounds like EJ is basically mad because we wouldn't give him max money straight up.

i wouldnt be offended if the team wanted the market to set your worth. i knew itd happen though. they do it to get out of paying their bird right max.

He's getting his max money either way, so I don't see why he's butt hurt that the Hornets wouldn't straight up give it to him. Like you said, let the market set your worth.

"They drafted another shooting guard, a combo guard like me, which tells me they have another plan," Gordon said.
Does he know what a combo guard is? And hasn't Monty said he see's Rivers as a PG down the road, even before we drafted him?

"Phoenix signed two other young guys that are very talented," he said. "They're already established and they're already going to get better."
Michael Beasley?

:turrible:

I thought you said Gordon gave them the Go on drafting Rivers.

well dragic/ej/beas is actually a nice future base. shot heavy though. and the max from new orleans would have been more money and years correct? maybe he feels they dont wanna risk giving him that.

That's what 247 said, they're always right with their sources.

Guess they were wrong on that one though.

Yeah, but he's obviously satisfied with the PHX match. Which in the end he'll get from NO.

And Dragic/EJ/Beasley or Rivers/EJ/Davis

I know which one I'd take. I will say Phoenix has more vets, but I think the Hornets future is more bright than Phoenix. And a Hornets team with Gordon is around a Phoenix team with Gordon next year, imo. Maybe better depending on how Davis/Rivers/Aminu/Vasquez develop over the course of the year.

Just because Monty Williams sees him as a PG down the road, doesn't mean he is, because he's not.

Your reasoning clearly isn't the same as his though. EJ wants to be THE GUY.
