I'm not sure it's about the money for him.

Teams currently projected to be in the playoffs:

Heat
Pacers
Knicks
Nets
Hawks
Bulls
Celts
Bucks
Spurs
Thunder
Nuggets
Clippers
Grizz
Warriors
Rockets
Jazz
I'll include the Lakers too.

I crossed out the teams who currently have 2013-14 salaries above the $58M cap.

That leaves:

Indiana
Atlanta
Milwaukee
San Antonio
Houston
Utah
and the Clippers.

The Bucks plan to keep BJ3, and Parker is the best Spurs player. Take them out as well.

That leaves 5 teams that made the playoffs, that have cap space to get him, and makes somewhat sense to go after him. But does leaving the Clippers for the Jazz/Rockets/Hawks/Pacers give you a better chance of winning a title? For Houston and Atlanta, they would need to make other moves like getting Dwight (if he is still considered such a commodity). Utah, I have no idea how they could get him. And I just dont see the Pacers, even with CP3, beating the Heat.

If the Rockets landed Dwight as well as CP3, maybe its an option, with Harden as the third of another trio. idk, doesn't seem like a lot of good options to leave LA

indy wont risk losing the chemistry they have, theyll lock players up on that team. atlanta wont go after him imo. they have other needs. utah isnt getting his star caliber. houston is a wild card.

Wall is probably the best chase down shot blocking point guard in the league.

The funniest thing about this whole Rose situation is that he's currently the healthiest player on the Bulls roster.

Bulls are getting swept by whomever they draw in the playoffs.  Such a painfully mediocre team.

Come on...

Right now they'd play the Knicks. If anyone would get swept in that series it would be the Knicks.

New Pelicans practice facility. Going to be the biggest in the NBA and one of the biggest in any sport (college or professional).

How is it a foul when a defensive player beats his man to a spot?

A Knicks/Heat series would be a lot more competitive this year than last year. Could see it easily going 6, probably 7.
