Because of the guys are wide open a lot. Yes he makes some great throws, but they are in a wide open system that other QB's aren't in. Lots of guys can make amazing throws, but the system Rodgers is in makes the reads easier, and he has the best WR's in the league. Who cares if he makes these great throws, when your backup QB is throwing more TD's, what's the point of the great throws? The QB's job is to put points on the board. And don't tell me it was Detroits defense. Rodgers has played against his share of bad defenses too.

Flynn having the game he had absolutely does not mean that Rodgers is overrated... I'm not sure how you could discredit an entire body of work based on one good game by Rodgers' backup.

Flynn has some talent. He's played well in spot-starts, and the little bit of playing time he's gotten over the past couple years, but I highly doubt Flynn could put together the season that Rodgers did this year... with or without that supporting cast. Consistency is what makes great QB's great, and Rodgers was consistently elite in every game he played this season. (Minus the Chiefs game, where he still put up above average numbers)

This isn't the game that made me feel this though. I've felt like Rodgers was overrated for a long time. This game is just further evidence for me. Yes Rodgers is a top 5 QB, but nonetheless, he isn't as good as everyone thinks he is.

I don't think most people with a functioning brain has Rodgers as a first ballot hall of famer right now... That is the only way I could agree with the "overrated" tag you have on him.

I'd say he's well established as a top 3 QB in the league.

Like I said, he's top 5, probably 3. Not saying he isn't great. I just feel some people are taking it to far. I'm just going to have to agree to disagree. I know I'm not the only person who thinks this, but it's certainly a minority.
